Executive MBA: Lean Opportunities Case Study

Written by Lincoln Intelligence Group | Aug 1, 2022 3:31:00 PM

Every home care business today will operationally succeed or fail along three critical dimensions: People, Process, and Technology. To shed some light on process improvement, specifically, the Intelligence Group commissioned a consulting firm to study a representative, full-continuum business among the membership - Androscoggin Home Health & Hospice (ME). Following an acquisition, Androscoggin knew that merging organizations would also mean merging processes that were, in all candor, already in need of a rework. To help address this necessary but involved integration step, Androscoggin welcomed the Intelligence Group’s consulting partner, Lean Advisors, to guide their improvement initiative in the patient service center.

With this context, the MBA session will comprise two main components:

  • What process was followed for studying Androscoggin as a subject for Lean improvement?
  • What opportunities were identified to streamline the business processes and eliminate waste?

RJ Gagnon, CFO & COO, Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice

Nicole Smith, Manager of Patient Services, Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice

Kevin Klump, VP/Lean Sensei, LEAN Advisors
