Home Care 100 is sitting down with healthcare model-design expert Amy Bassano, former Deputy Director of CMMI and current Managing Director at Health Management Associates, to forecast the plan for migrating all Medicare beneficiaries into an “accountable care arrangement” by 2030 (as announced by CMS in 2021). We’ll discuss where CMS sees room to drive more episodes of post- and pre-acute care into the home; the role of home care in the pursuit of “value creation” for healthcare overall; and in particular how home care providers can be rewarded for the value-based savings they help create.
