July 17 - Discussion: From Care Agency to Medical Practice

Home-based care companies - particularly those with a prior complex/serious illness identity - are increasingly buying or developing practices in geriatric primary care. The flip side is also occurring, with home-based primary care starting to wrap their services with additional clinical and non-clinical resources.

During this session, we'll consider the multi-faceted benefits of moving upstream in the disease progression, as weighed against the financial and other hurdles associated with entering physician medical practice. We invite those who have made the leap to medical practice, as well as those who haven't, to engage in this exchange.
