Turning Potential into Profit with Medicare Advantage

The CEO of an independent, regional home health and hospice business was struggling with clarity and confidence about their Medicare Advantage strategy. One major concern was their reliance on dwindling FFS Medicare business for maintaining profitability as MA permeates their state in the Southeast.

After a 30-minute consultation with a Principal Advisor about the landscape of options, the CEO decided to take part in a CEO Workgroup facilitated by the Principal Advisor, where they fleshed out specific options for working productively with MA plans among their peers. During this Workgroup, the CEO learned how to structure their offerings to achieve a more powerful proposition in the market, how to communicate that proposition, and to whom.

 

Closing Critical Business Gaps with Predictive Analytics

Based on industry chatter, a hospice leader perceived that they were missing important capabilities related to predictive solutions and wanted to understand what business gaps could be satisfied with the use of the latest predictive tools.

Our Senior Advisor in technology shared a 20-minute briefing on predictive analytics business cases and solutions. Based on the briefing, the leader asked for introductions to two solution companies they felt could potentially close certain gaps in the business with respect to predicting end-of-life trajectory. Unlocking the Personal Care Middle Market with Virtual Caregiving

The COO of an independent personal care company wanted to understand their options for serving new customers in the middle market through virtual caregiving bundled with blocks of in-person care. 

The COO attended a group webinar with an overview of the business model for “hybrid” personal care models. Following the webinar, the COO scheduled a one-on-one briefing with a Principal Advisor to go deeper on the concepts and consider their specific market characteristics. The COO and the Principal Advisor will continue to meet periodically to compare notes on progress and new sector developments.
